My child is stating that they do not want to see the visiting parent and are afraid of them. Will you force them to visit?

Before any visits take place, the child will be taken through an orientation process which allows them to have a tour of the visiting areas and express their feelings about having to visit. Staff will encourage these visits but, at no time, will a child ever be forced into a visit. Staff will attempt to alleviate any fears by reassuring the child that there will always be a staff or volunteer present and that our focus is for them to have a stress free visit.
