Pathstone Foundation is conducting the Mending Children’s Minds campaign to fulfill our dream that not even one of Niagara’s treasured children would have to wait for life-changing, professional mental health treatment. Constructing a centre of excellence for children’s mental health treatment which generates a sustainable revenue stream is the solution.
A state-of-the-art facility will meet our community’s need for enhanced and expanded mental health treatment while creating a sustainable financial future. This facility will meet current and future needs, and allow for treatment areas to be specially designed.
There is a desperate need for sustainable funding. Current government funding levels are stagnant and not responsive to inflation nor the ever increasing and complex needs of children in Niagara. This plan will generate revenue through leased space in the community wing. This new revenue stream will make it possible for children who languish in alarming numbers on waiting lists to have access to desperately needed mental health treatment.
Pathstone Foundation has purchased land adjacent to Niagara’s new hospital at 3rd Street Louth and Fourth Avenue in St. Catharines. The Campaign Cabinet is working with our community to secure funds to complete the project and open the doors debt free.
Shovel in the ground took place in November 2014, with occupancy anticipated in early 2017.
